Probably one of the grayer characters around the interwebs. Been around for about half a century, been furry for around 35 years of that time. Grew up in a small town in western NY, but I've lived in a few different places around the east coast and mid west. Even Alaska for a little while. I'm into photography, digital and more recently getting back into film. writing, and a bit of a stationary nerd, but not too bad. I also like cars, and alternative transportation. So yes I zip around on an electric scooter, but don't worry, I still get a little shiver when I hear a nice V8. Computers, I'm an avid Linux and Mac user, and video gamer. Imagine if we treated cars the way we're treating e-bikes in the US?
Okay, since a few of you have been speeding, and some people have died, Now every car is limited to a 4 cylinder engine with no more than 50hp, And all cars must be governed to no more than 35mph. We're also going to ban cars from any road where the speed limit is 25 or under.
That's literally what's going on right now with e-bikes. Laws are being written that are so restrictive and stupid in some places that they basically render e-bikes e-waste. And that's on purpose. The idea being to get people to stop riding them and to force them back into cars. Because that's all our lawmakers care at all about here.
It's so backwards it drives me nuts!
