I read "The Importance of being Ernest" by Ernest Cline, the guy behind Ready Player One.
I normally don't like being mean and cruel to an author's work, but I swear to god that was some of the worst dogshit I've ever read in my entire life. "Nerd Porn Auteur" needs its own award for being one of the most misogynistic pieces disguised as a heartfelt suggestion.
The rest of these "poems" are thankfully short, all of them utterly terrible.

Watched Project Hail Mary in IMAX at the cinemas. Absolutely brilliant!
It actually follows the book pretty well which surprised me - I'm used to seeing tweaks and edits being done. The only real tweaks is cutting down the scientific babble (which I guess was done to make the film accessible to a wider audience).
I honestly loved it. Can't wait for it to come out on Bluray so I can own it!

I read "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" by Philip K. Dick.
I thought it was entertaining! Really brilliant concepts, I love how this was the genesis of Blade Runner, I can see the clear inspo. I do think the book is a bit better for being shorter while conveying the same thing 😅
One thing that made me feel gross was every time a woman appeared in the book, the author kept going on about her breasts. Not very cool at all.

My weight lifting seems to be helping quite a bit with the bloodspots! Also, I've rounded down with my exchanges, which has helped quite a bit (I rarely ever hit 2 exchanges exactly).
I'm trying to cook my own food now to cut down on visceral fat that my weighing scales report back, so next results should be interesting...

Finished reading The Wasp Trap.
I enjoyed it, but it's flawed.
The Good: page turner, kept me guessing, villain reveal was satisfying, epilogue while short was satisfying.
The Bad: MMC grossed me out, cryptic clues go nowhere, first 10-15 chapters are a slog, villain defeat is hilariously bad, story isn't really gripping.

Just finished Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. WOW! I absolutely LOVED it!
I think I really liked this one as all the character setup had happened in Fellowship of the Rings, now this one was all about action and drama. Absolutely hooked.
Can't wait for Return of the King!

Just finished reading The Voice of Saruman chapter in LOTR The Two Towers.
I genuinely loved that chapter. Like, Saruman is clearly evil, but there was things he said where I audibly laughed:
“Will I come down?” he mocked. “Does an unarmed man come down to speak with robbers out of doors?”
Like, that felt like a very visceral real conversation between two old friends. Absolutely love the writing.

Seen two films at the cinema:
Wuthering Heights: I was into it at the first half of the film, second half bored me to tears. It's pretty much every romantic film with very little else to add.
Crime 101: Stupid name, great film. Excellent cinematography. The relationship aspect between Chris Hemsworth's character and his love interest was complete utter cringe, but it was the only weak aspect of the film.

Just finished Project Hail Mary, and oh my god. I absolutely loved it!
It was so funny, so clever, and just so... wholesome?!? I had such a great time and had such a blast reading it! I'll probably pick up the audiobook version as I've heard it's even better than the book, and I'm definitely planning to watch the film now.
