In a survey of 25 countries, the United States was the only county in which more adults describe the morality of their compatriots as bad than good. 53% of respondents said that the morality and ethics of other people in their country is either somewhat or very bad. Since this is a new question for Pew Research, the team says they don't know whether this is a long-held view or something new. There typically isn't much conversation/dialogue with publishers because they use RSS to add their content to Flipboard. However one advantage is that their content is typically organized topically into Magazines (for example, @theverge@flipboard.com is the main account, whereas @science-news-theverge is just the science coverage). Google search traffic to publishers declined globally by a third last year, according to new Chartbeat data. In the U.S. only, referrals from organic Google search were down by 38% year on year. "The report noted that publishers that specialise in lifestyle or utility content such as weather, TV guides, or horoscopes were more likely to have seen traffic declines, linking it to the arrival of Google’s AI summaries at the top of search results from 2024."
